With winds of 120 mph, deadly flooding, and $50 billion in damages, Hurricane Milton strikes Florida.
Hurricane Milton storm occurred in
the United States on October 9,made landfall as a Category 3 storm. This
happened in the state of West Coast Florida the aftermath of the hurricane was
deadly and caused intense damage causing financial losses up to 34 billion
dollars to rebuild homes and roads
there were at least 117 tornado warnings
and 120mph winds in Florida houses lost power, catastrophic flooding, and some
were completely demolished leaving vehicles submerged in water no hope of
returning to their homes. There are at least 24 victims that passed away due to
the storm.
A tropical disturbance that began in
the western Caribbean Sea and consolidated in the Bay of Campeche on October 5
gave rise to Milton. Early on October 7, it became a hurricane after slowly
growing as it moved eastward followed in the wake of hurricane Helene
The $50 billion mark for direct
losses is a threshold that differentiates “truly historic events,” said Adam
